Ilsa Sharp Ilsa Sharp is a British-born Australian freelance writer and Chinese Studies graduate, formerly based in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong from 1968 to 1998. She is a former staff editor and writer for The Straits Times of Singapore and for the Far Eastern Economic Review of Hong Kong and has been a correspondent for international publications such as the Financial Times, The Daily Telegraph of London and the Melbourne Herald of Australia. Ilsa now commutes regularly between her Perth base in Western Australia and Southeast Asia, on writing assignments. She is the author of some 20 books on the history, culture and natural history and wildlife of Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region, the majority of them commissioned. Buy Author's books
