Kelly Reedy has worked in the creative arts industry in Singapore for over 20 years as an artist, educator, and art therapist. She currently teaches part-time in the MA Art Therapy programme at LASALLE College of the Arts. In 2017 she founded ArtWorks, a therapeutic arts-based consultancy which combines her expertise in art therapy, fine art, and education, creating opportunities for people from all walks of life to benefit from how art can heal, give pleasure, and teach us more about ourselves and others. In her studio practice she has researched the material techniques and symbolism embedded in traditional folk art and ritual practices across Asia. Her mixed media artworks layer crosscultural imagery, archetypes, and memories, blurring the lines of time and place. She has exhibited internationally in Paris, Chicago, Berlin, Yogyakarta, New Delhi, and Singapore. Her local commissions include designing four floors of stained glass windows for the Thye Hua Kwan Temple in Sengkang and illustrating the fine art edition of the book Emily of Emerald Hill by Stella Kon.
