Reviews

Great book which recounts the culture in Singapore pre and post WWII… As a young Singaporean reader who is easily intrigued by the history, this book has enlightened me on the transformations Singapore has gone through. Many facts are not mentioned in the classic textbooks in school and the author supplemented his experiences while painting a picture of how Singapore looked like in the 1940s. – Goodreads
